Art & Pandemics

As Ziyian Kwan noted, “... art is a medicine. And we’re not going to get through any of the horrors that exist—whether they’re around the pandemic or around oppressions of people—without art” (Smith et al., 2021). Pandemics often transform societies and a common thread among them is their effect on themes presented in artwork...

pandemics on art. As usual, after
I started wondering  about it my
curiosity was piqued and I had to
research the subject! :)

Current Events

I have been awarded the STARR Charitable Foundation Scholarship - a very generous full-ride scholarship to MSU for 4 years of undergraduate study!

I have also been awarded a Professorial Assistantship (PA) at MSU. PAs work with regular members of the teaching faculty on tasks directly related either to scholarly research or to innovative teaching.

My college path is pre-med and research, and some of my top interests include genetics, psychology, and history of medicine. Michigan State University has been my top choice from the start, when I fell in love with the campus on my first visit to compete in the Michigan Science Olympiad state competition. The academic opportunities, extensive resources, and innovative research that MSU offers make it without a doubt the best university for me.

Now that college applications and essays are complete, I will finally have some time to work on my book spreadsheet.  Yes, I have a spreadsheet of over 300 books that I would like to read and add to my library!
